Hiring the River Heads Community Hall
The Riverheads Community Hall, leased by Riverheads Progress Association (RHPA) offers you the perfect venue to host your next function.
With spectacular views of K’gari (Fraser Island), along with an outside deck, garden, fully equipped bar and kitchen, the space makes this the perfect venue for your function.
Our experienced Bistro Manager will assist you every step of the way, tailoring every detail to suit your desired style and budget. Site inspections are welcome.

Booking Availability
The community hall is available for hire from February until November.
All bookings are to be made by contacting the Association Secretary at secretary@riverheads.org.au
Main Hall
- Sit Down Dinner – 100 seats
- Meetings – 100 seats
- Outdoor Deck Area – 36 seats
BBQ Area
This is a Fraser Coast Council Sponsored covered BBQ area available free of charge.
Catering
Although our hall has a fully operational industrial kitchen – it is not available for individual hire.
Our Bistro Manager will be available to discuss your needs and will be able to provide you with a catering quote to cover your event.
Licensed Bar
Licenced venue – therefore cannot bring in any drinks (alcoholic or soft).
There is a licenced bar on site with a restricted licence
Hours of operation are as follows
- Thursday 7:00pm – 8:00pm
- Saturday 4:00pm – 11:00pm
- Sunday 11:30am – 6:00pm
The hall is not available Wednesday evening or Friday from 12:00 noon due to permanent bookings for each.
Parking
Free public car parking is available in Ariadne Street in front of the hall.
Parking is not permitted in the Community Hall grounds.
Entertainment
The Community Hall has a sound system with wireless microphone and a demountable stage.
DJs and bands are welcome; with their own equipment however noise restrictions do apply.
RHPA can provide a projector screen available for picture slideshows and/or videos from your laptop.
The use of smoke machines on the premises is strictly prohibited. Setting off the fire alarm without due cause may incur a fine from the CFA.
Security
If security is deemed necessary by the RHPA Committee, an additional charge will be rendered to the hirer.
Insurance
All hirers must purchase their own public liability insurance for the duration of use.
