Live entertainment 6 March – 5:30 to 7:30
Emma Newman has been singing for as long as she can remember.
She laid her hands on her first “proper guitar” at 11 and performed covers at little primary school events. Her passion for writing and performing deepened at the age of 13 and she began gigging professionally a few years later.
The self-taught artist expresses whatever she’s feeling through her music, with a unique style landing somewhere in between acoustic pop and folk.
For Emma, the process of writing holds her accountable and forces her to come to terms with her feelings. Listening to music has always been therapeutic for her, but the thought of her own songs helping others to feel heard and understood just feels that much more gratifying.
Emma gained valuable experience at the River Heads Hall during the Open Mic Nights. Emma went on to perform at River Heads Rocks in 2022 and 2023 and she now has her own CD which will be available to purchase on the night.
We look forward to welcoming you and we also offer disabled friendly facilities and reasonably priced drinks. So get your friends together for a night of fun.
