The River Heads Progress Association held its Annual General Meeting on Thursday, 28th August 2025 at the Community Hall. The meeting was opened at 6pm with a strong turnout of members and community supporters in attendance
President’s Report
President Keith Morrison reflected on another busy and successful year for the Association. He thanked the committee, volunteers, and wider community for their tireless efforts in making Friday night bistros, special events, and projects such a success.
Highlights from the past 12 months included:
- Freshly painted hall walls and new fans on the back deck.
- A more organised and accessible community library.
- A growing program of Friday night bistros with live music, BBQs, and themed nights.
- A booked-out Christmas function and a moving ANZAC Day dawn service.
- An upgraded liquor licence and improved insurance coverage.
- Continued growth in membership and attendance at events.
Special thanks were given to volunteers and committee members who kept the Association running smoothly—from finances and compliance to social media, The Review, rosters, events, and the bar. A heartfelt farewell was extended to long-time contributor Liz Stewart, who stepped back after more than 10 years of dedicated service.
